About me

My name is Hongliang Wang, and I go by Liang. I am a graduate student in mathematics, currently undertaking a master's degree by research under the supervision of Bryce Kerr at UNSW Canberra, Australia. I plan to continue my studies with a PhD, commencing in second half of 2026. Here is my CV.

My primary research focus is in analytic number theory, complemented by interests in arithmetic combinatorics, dynamical systems, and harmonic analysis, with particular emphasis on their interactions. Please refer to Research for more information.

Fun fact: I once attempted Erdős Problem #534, which was listed as unsolved; after some not-so-successful efforts, I discovered that it had in fact already been proven in the literature (I informed the site maintainer, and the problem is now listed as solved). In line with recent AI practice,
